Our Story
Sap & Script Co. started as a result of closed doors. It’s said when the Lord closes a door, He opens a window, and we have found this to be true. Sometimes you have to have a thousand doors slammed in your face before you realize that He’s trying to get your attention. So, this mother-daughter duo decided to take the leap and begin the business they wish they’d had to help them. The name is rooted in our philosophy that all good things have a little sweetness (maple or otherwise), and include a good business elevator script (or a scripted font).
Jessica Van Hoy is a graphic designer and photographer with over 5 years of hands-on experience producing hand-rendered visuals and taking photos for medical offices, artists, small businesses, and occasionally, invitations for elaborate vacations. After nearly a year of rejections, God reignited the dream in her heart to start her own business, this time, helping other businesses achieve their dreams with better branding visuals alongside her mom. As a nearly finished college grad, she will soon have a BFA in Graphic Design and will be a Google Certified UX Designer.
When she’s not designing pretty things for good folks, you can probably find her reading, writing on her Substack (@Sap & Script ), or picking at an instrument.
Bethanie Van Hoy is the glue which holds this business together. Over the past 20+ years, beyond being an incredible homeschool mom, she’s kept the behind-the-scenes production running for offices across the country. In 2022, she felt God call her back into the real estate business, and became a licensed REALTOR®. Her love for creative business solutions has always fueled her work. Whether it’s organizing spreadsheets, helping clarify the business’ bottom line, or thinking outside the box to improve workflows, Bethanie keeps Sap & Script Co. going strong.
When she’s not proofing data, you’ll likely find her reading business books, playing the piano, or showing properties with Stuart Van Hoy.
Henry (Henry Hank Aaron Van Hoy, actually, but that’s another story) is the official mascot at Sap & Script Co. Adopted in 2024 as a shy 18-month old rescue puppy, Henry is a crucial part of the team and family. He’s somewhere between guard-dog and fierce snuggler, but he is loved all the more for it. He is a Labrador and Weimaraner mix, but if you want more Henry content, Jessica will probably post about him too much on Instagram.
